GOES 3.9 um image tutorial from Colorado State and the COMET Sat/Met class

This tutorial builds upon the first tutorial we reviewed in class a few lectures ago, it was an introduction to the applications of different channels, and I have provided a link to it here, as well as in the previous lecture.  Since the short-wave infra-red band, channel 2 on GOES has several special features, and is used for some specific derived products, we will now consider it in more detail.
